World Cup Day 8

World Cup Results so far: First 8 Days

2 Belgium Vs. Algeria 1

Algeria got the lead very early in the game by scoring for the spot, when one of the Algeria player was tacked in the boxes to make it one nil and Algeria had chances to had to there lead before the brake but weren't able to, in the second half Algeria control most of the game in till Belgium made substitute Manchester back Marouane Fellaini that gave them a header goal that put them back on level.

Then Belgium took control of the game more and more adding another substitute to added another goal the winner to seal the win for Belgium, then even went for a third but didn't get it to win the game 2-0, but Algeria who where unlikely not to take all three points now must look to the next game, but should have took something away from this game.

2 USA Vs. Ghana 1

The USA took at big leap in there group by taking all three points from Ghana, the USA only took 30 seconds to score there first goal that is the 5th Fastest World Cup goal ever and also the most tattooed team of this World Cup is the USA.

With Clint Dempsey scoring this wonder goal to put them head and this stayed the score for the first half USA 1- Ghana 0.

Ghana scored 8 minutes from time in the 82nd minute by André Ayew that look like it was a going to end as a draw, but John Brooks Jr. sealed the win by scored four minutes later in the 86 minute and that was the final score USA 2 - Ghana 1 to give the USA the win.

1 Russia Vs. South Korea 1

Russia and South Korea where both hoping to get off to a winning start in this late evening match both teams could have won it if they had gone a little bit more attacking in this game where South Korea took the lead by a poor goal keeping error wear the goal got the ball in he's hand then some how he was able to drop it into he's own net by losing grip of the ball.

As the goalkeeper Igor Akinfeev was dropping it into he's own net he was still trying to catch it back into he's hand but wasn't able to and this was on of the worst going keeping errors for this first round of this World Cup but substitute Aleksandr Kerzhakov scored a lovely goal to bring them back to level 1-1 and it end like that to give both teams a point each to help there changes of getting through the group stage.

0 Mexico Vs. Brazil 0

Mexico gave the host a great game making it hard for both teams to steal the game, but Mexico was unlucky not to win this and take three points from this game but it keep both teams in the running to get through the group, but Brazil still could have won it but both team just could get that goal to win the game.

0 Spain Vs. Chill 2

Spain was knocked out of the World Cup 2014 after average performances against oppositions Chill with Dega Coast Average performance, then was took off in the second half to bring on Chelsea Forward Fernando Torres who still couldn't help them find a goal to enough to make any different into the game that end with defeat to the World Cup holders in the Group stage.

Spain was expected to win or at least get through the Group stage and into the next round, or even through to the final but they changed there side to much that end in defeat.

Spain came out looking to win this game after losing their first game to Netherlands with a 5-1 lose, they did look in game in the first goal came for Chile scored by Eduardo Vargas wearing the shirt Number 11 and scoring 20 minutes into the game to make Spain trailing again and on the end of losing another game in a row, also they knew if did get anything out of the game they would be out of the World Cup.

Spain have won the last World Cup in 2010 and the Euro in 2012, where expecting to running through the group stage coming second or top but had a shocking first game with a very un par forward Dega Coast and carried on this form into this game and before half time the second goal came for Chile.

Charles Aránguiz wearing the number 20 scored the second for Chile to end hopes of a comeback in the first half in the 43 minute to try to kill of the game and that's what it did, the first half ended Chile 2-0 Spain.

The second didn't improve Spain much with Chile pressing for a third that they just could get but Chile played very well on the day looking like a top ranked team that could have go more goals against Spain.

But Spain hold on to keep it at 2-0 difference and no more, by taking off players to spice up the game more and that's what it did give Spain a slight chance of get one back and were unlikely on get on back.

Spain had some very good players on the bench that weren't used the might have made more of a difference, with Spain hoping they could have done what they did at the last World Cup by losing the first game of the World Cup in 2010 against Switzerland, then not losing another game to go on to win it.

This time Spain lost a lot heavier this time in the first game than they did last and weren't able to recover, that carried on into this game against Chile now they must look to the Euros 2016 in France, to see if they can recover.

The biggest difference of Spain this time was the player changes that they did some well before and left to many good player on the bench, when they should have been in the team because they are the side that won the World Cup last time.

Three Yellow Cards:

Chile - Eugenio Mena

Chile - Arturo Vidal

Spain - Xabi Alonso

                              2 Australia Vs. Netherlands 3

This was one of the best World Cup games so far from start to finish with action coming from both ends with Arjen Robben pushing to make it two wins in a row giving his all to his Country, but Australia gave the Netherlands a shock coming out on attack as well the game could have gone anyway with both teams hitting back at each other from, Australia had the wonder player Tim Cahill on there side that is a ex-premier League player.

The first goal was scored by Arjen Robben to put the Netherlands on the front foot wearing the shirt number 11, but only seconds later after kick off Australia struck right back with a amazing goal from Tim Cahill wearing the shirt number 4, who's goal that could be goal of the tournament same as Robben van Persie goal against Spain hitting the ball right into the net to make everything level again at 1-1.

Two yellow cards:

Robin Van Persie - Netherlands

Tim Cahill - Australia

The first half end with the score being at 1-1 and in the second half Australia got the next goal to put them in front of the game for the first time by scoring a penalty in the 54 minute by Mile Jedinak who wears the shirt number 15.

This looked like it might be the winner but only four minutes later the Netherland struck back in quick form by Robin van Persie to make the game level again with him wearing the shirt number 9 and scoring in the 58th minute of the game to make it Netherlands 2-2 Australia.

Now both team where looking for the winner that could have gone both away with the Netherland looking for a walk over game, but Australia match them in all departments and in parts of the game Australia looked better than the Netherlands in some of the game but it was a very even contest with the Netherland taking control in some parts as well.

It looked like who would score next would win the game and it was exactly that Memphis Depay getting the winner in the 68 minute of the game wearing the number 21 shirt for the Netherlands, Australia could have got a draw but just wasn't able to score their chance at goal to get one back to make it level and Because they did get anything from the game this put them out of this years World Cup in Brazil 2014.

They where very unlikely to lose the game and to be out of at the group stage playing so well, but even Tim Cahill couldn't stop them for going out but they weren't out played, also they went the distance against a good team.

That just beat the ranking World Cup winners of 2010 Spain 1-5 and this was a completely different game that could have any of the two teams.

1 England Vs. Uruguay 2

England was trying to get over the defeat against Italy that end 2-1, against a Uruguay squad that included Luis Suarez who has came back from injury to special play against he team mates from he club Liverpool including Steven Gerrad, Daniel Sturidge and others.

England stood to the same starting 11 player from the first game and made one change with his tactics moving Rooney from the left winger to behind Daniel Sturidge swapping, Raheem Sterling to  the position he plays with he's club Liverpool on the wing.

Uruguay made five changes from there lost against Coast Rica including Luis Suarez who had been nearly ruled out for the World Cup because of injury and the game started off very even to begin with but the Uruguay tried to take control of the game, with them hitting first by let Liverpool player Luis Suarez in to make it one nil to Uruguay, he was playing against a lot of he's team mates.

But England hit back harder with a great goal from
Wayne Rooney he played wear the shirt of number ten forward, but this was he's first World Cup goal ever that was expected a long time go being rated one of the worlds best players and it was about time he scored one coming in the 75th minute of the game that did look like it would get them a point from the game, even the win.

There was two yellow cards of the game one for each team with Steven Gerrad getting one and Uruguay getting the other Diego Godin that should have been set off because being on one yellow he make another very bad tackle that should have had him set off instead for some reason he was not booked that could have effected the game.

But the England defenders couldn't stop Luis Suarez from stealing the game from them and get the winning by them going to far up in the game for attacking leaving the back to open to attack, with Steven Gerrad heading the ball the came off his back of his head his he own side with Luis Suarez finding the ball running to the goal then able to finish it to make it 2-1 with Joe Hart unlikely no to stop it.

With England very unlikely not to take anything away from there two games with them playing well and missing out with a one goal difference each time but it wasn't enough to get the win.

0 Italy Vs. Coast Rica 1

Italy was outplayed in this game with all the chances they where even in this game they just couldn't find anything to take from this game that they really want to win against Coast Rica a team that no  one expected to even get a point or a goal from this game against a highly rated Italy team which did get chances, but  Coast Rica got lots of good chances too and took them to make it 1-0 even with Pirlo, Balotelli and other very good Italian players.

But Coast did have the highly rated player Joel Campbell how hasn't been able to break into he club side Arsenal but did show how good it was against Italy.

The winning goal came from Coat Rica Player Bryan Ruiz with a good finish to put Coast Rica through to the last 16 all ready when a game to go.

5 France Vs. Switzerland 2
France torn Switzerland to pieces in this match that was expect not to be so one side, France never looked like they could lose the game but Switzerland did try to change that by getting two
goals passed the French but it wasn't enough to make a impact on the game.

In the Last couple seconds of Injury time Benzema shot before the final
whistle was blown, that was going straight in the net then the referee blow the Whistle the ball went in the net, France celebrated the goal but then referee say because the ball went in just after the whistle was blown it didn't count but they still got five goals against a fighting Switzerland team that got to goals back but it just wasn't enough to get them the three points.
