Arsenal wins the Community Shield 2014

Arsenal vs. Manchester City - 10th August 2014 Community Shield



The game was between Arsenal the FA Cup Holders Manchesters City the Premier League holders but who would win.
Arsenal just had come from getting over the nine years drought by winning the FA Cup, with them wanting to win another trophy and Manchester City wanting to get there start of the season off to a winning starting by getting the first trophy up for grabs.
Arsenal start off the game well and also got the first goal in the 21 minute from Santi Cazorla to make it Arsenal 1-0 Manchester City.
Manchester City tryed to find a way back into the game but weren't able to and only kept Arsenal out for another 20 mintues, because in the 42 mintue Arsenal struck again to make it 2-0, With the goal coming from Aaron Ramsey.
With this leaving the game at half time Manchester City trying to find a way to get a goal and in the second half Oliver giroud stepped off the bench, and he scored the third goal in the 62th mintue.
This finished off the game to make it Manchester City 0-3 Arsenal, leaving Arsenal as the Community Shield 2014 Winners.

Steven Gerrard and Frank Lampard Retire from England !

Steven Gerrard and Frank Lampard have retire from England International football, Steven Gerrard was captain for 2014 Brazil World Cup how played in all three games but did not start as captain of his last England game by coming on as a sub because Frank Lampard was given the honour of captaincy against Coast Rica.


In the second half Steven Gerrard was brought on after Frank Lampard gave him the captaincy arm band for the rest of the game that turn out to be there both last game for England, Both have been great players for England now.


 It will be hard to replace these players and both player play in the Premier League Steven Gerrard plays for Liverpool FC and Frank Lampard at the time of the World Cup was a still a Chelsea FC player by contract by that was coming to a end, also wasn't being renewed so now he was sign for the America club New York in the major League Soccer.






 But Frank Lampard will be loan back to the Premier League to Manchester City for in till the America Soccer league starts.



Steven Gerrard against Coast Rica wear the shirt Number 4 and Frank Lampard had the shirt Number 8 on there final England appearance.



Steven Gerrard playing career was 2000-2014 England Caps came to 114 and scoring 21 goals and Frank Lampard 1999-2014 with 106 caps and scoring 29 goals, both being having the playing position of a Midfielder.


Steven Gerrard and Frank Lampard where two of the last players experienced players in the England and now only leaving Jermaine Defoe and Wayne Rooney, Peter Crouch, Joe Hart with England experience left with Jermaine Defoe being left on the call up list for 2014 World Cup in Brazil and Peter Crouch not getting any call up from current England Manger Roy Hodgson.


Since Frank Lampard retire Roy Hodgson announced that Wayne Rooney would be captain of England now from Steven Gerrard.


Ashley Cole who retire after being told he wont be picked from the Brazil World Cup 2014 how would be second choice to Manchester United player Luke Shaw, has sign for Roma an Italian side.

Frank Lampard was 36 and Steven Gerrard 34 when they retire from England.
